How Wire handles data.

Wire is a publishing tool operated by Mad Worlds Studio. This policy explains what data it touches when a social account is connected to it, what that data is used for, and how to remove it. Last updated 30 July 2026.

What Wire is

Wire takes finished video from our production pipeline and publishes it to connected accounts on YouTube, TikTok and Instagram. It is operated by Mad Worlds Studio for our own channels and for clients who have engaged us to run their channels. It is not a self-serve product and there is no public sign-up.

Whose accounts get connected

Only accounts belonging to Mad Worlds Studio or to a client who has explicitly asked us to manage their publishing. In every case the account owner performs the authorization themselves, on the platform's own login screen. We never ask for or hold anyone's platform password.

What data we access

Only the permissions needed to publish. In practice that means basic profile information used to confirm which account is connected, such as the account identifier, username and account type, and content publishing access used to upload video.

We do not request or access follower lists, direct messages, comments, ad performance data belonging to other advertisers, or any data belonging to other users of the platform.

How we use it

Access tokens and account identifiers are used for one purpose: uploading and publishing video to the account they belong to. We do not use this data to build profiles, we do not sell or rent it, we do not share it with third parties, and we do not use it for advertising targeting.

Video content

To publish to some platforms, a video file must be readable at a public URL for the platform to fetch. Files staged this way are unlisted, are not indexed, and are removed once publishing is complete. The published video itself is public by nature, since publishing it is the point.

Storage and retention

Authentication tokens are stored in an encrypted credential store controlled by Mad Worlds Studio and are never committed to source control or exposed to a browser. They are retained only while the connection is active. When a connection is removed, the stored tokens for it are deleted.

Revoking access and deleting data

Access can be revoked at any time by the account owner, directly from the platform, with no involvement from us. On TikTok this is Settings, then Security and permissions, then Manage app permissions. On Instagram and Facebook it is Settings, then Apps and websites. On YouTube it is the Google account permissions page.

Revoking immediately invalidates the tokens we hold. To additionally have any remaining stored data deleted, email ops@madworlds.studio and we will confirm deletion within 30 days.

Children

Wire is a business tool and is not directed at anyone under 13, or under the minimum age required by the relevant platform.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the updated date above changes with it, and any client with a connected account is told directly.
